The #HealthXPH team is planning the next #hcsmph – the 2nd Philippine Healthcare and Social Media summit for 2016. Weeks before the 1st summit last February 2015, I asked participants in the #HealthXPH tweet chat to contribute issues/questions to the four tracks of the summit.
- Protecting Patient Privacy and Confidentiality on Social Media
- Social Media and Health Promotion
- Social Media and Health Professions Education
- Patient Stories on Social Media
We’re modifying this next year by making the sessions more interactive. Short presentations are planned to serve as a scaffold for a lively discussion with the participants. We’re also adding two more tracks in 2016 –
- Policy
- Research
- Education
- Patients
- Advocacy
- Ethics
Each of these tracks will have a group of participants to work on an output. For example, a sample social media policy for healthcare institutions for the Policy track. A research agenda for social media and healthcare for the Research track. A template for using social media in teaching and learning for the Education track. A patient manifesto for social media from the Patients track. A list of best practices for using social media for advocacy for the Advocacy track. Case scenarios with discussion guide for the Ethics track. These are just some of my ideas. We would like to hear from you again!
Join the #HealthXPH tweet chat Dec 19, 9 pm Manila time (8 am EST) and contribute ideas for #hcsmph!
